PD Dr. med. Konstantin Horas

Dr. Horas completed his specialist training at the Orthopedic Clinic König-Ludwig-Haus, University of Würzburg, under Prof. Dr. M. Rudert, and at the BG Trauma Clinic in Frankfurt am Main, led by Prof. Dr. R. Hoffmann. He also spent a year in intensive care at the MTK Clinics in Bad Soden, working with Prof. Dr. M. Booke. Additionally, he spent two years at the ANZAC Research Institute at the University of Sydney, Australia, as part of a DFG postdoctoral research fellowship. Early in his career, Dr. Horas specialized in hip and knee arthroplasty. Most recently, he served as a senior physician in the "Reconstructive Joint Surgery" department and as a senior lead surgeon at the Würzburg Endoprosthetics Center, a maximum-care facility at the Orthopedic Clinic König-Ludwig-Haus, University of Würzburg. His clinical work primarily focused on minimally invasive primary hip and knee replacement surgeries, complex revision surgeries, and innovative implantation techniques, including robot-assisted endoprosthetic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Horas has extensive experience as an osteologist. He worked at the Osteological Center of Excellence (DVO) at the University of Würzburg's König-Ludwig-Haus, where he focused on treating patients with osteoporosis and other bone-metabolism disorders.
