The treatment regimen choice depends on the tumor size and metastases presence. Antitumor chemotherapy drugs are injected intravenously. One procedure can last up to 2 hours. To avoid injury to the walls of blood vessels, the oncologist can offer a port system (catheter) in the patient. It is hidden under the skin and can be used for a long time. The device does not interfere with hygienic procedures. Chemotherapy is carried out in cycles. The total number of cycles varies from 4 to 10 and even more, depending on the disease's progression and the general condition. It is necessary to take a break between cycles to rest and recover.
