Alternative cancer treatment with galvanotherapy

Galvanotherapy, also known as electro galvanic therapy or electrotherapy, is a type of alternative cancer treatment that involves using a low-voltage electric current to stimulate the body's natural processes. Once an electric current is supplied to the electrodes, chemo-electrical methods modify the tumor's pH and electrical charge. Less-charged cell membranes hinder metabolic function. So, cancer cells' vital processes stop. Tumor tissue has a lower electrical resistance than healthy tissue. Thus the current is concentrated on it to destroy it. The immune system may recognize and kill other cancer cells. The types of tumors that respond best to this treatment are breast cancer; tumors in the ear, nose, and throat; gynecological, urological, and soft tissue carcinomas; skin cancers, and cancers of the pancreas, liver, and spleen, especially those that come back after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Usually, galvanotherapy is outpatient therapy done with a local anesthetic. Two or more thin needle-like electrodes are inserted depending on the tumor's size. Direct current passing across the tissue interrupts sensory nerve fiber activation, which causes discomfort. Cancerous tissue removal causes irritation, which subsides after a few days. By stimulating phagocyte cells, malignant tissue is broken down and eliminated from the body, and scar tissue forms.
