Thread necklift

Aging of the neck occurs for the same reasons as age-related changes in the face. Thread lifting is one of the most effective ways to correct ptosis and flabbiness of the neck skin. It is optimally suited when the area of stretched skin is not too large and can be tightened without the excision of tissues. Threads consist of polydioxanone, a substance wholly absorbed during the year. They activate and accelerate collagen synthesis in the skin. Due to this, the lifting effect persists even after their complete resorption. Before the procedure, the plastic surgeon outlines the tension lines of the threads and the points of their entry on the neck. Next, the threads are inserted under the skin to a depth of 3 mm to 5 mm, after which they are pulled and fixed. Since the depth is small, there is no risk of damage to nerves or large vessels. Thread lifting is carried out under local anesthesia. That reduces the risk of allergies and speeds up recovery. The procedure takes up to 1. 5 hours, depending on the number of threads. After the neck lift, there may be slight pain and swelling, but this quickly passes. The traces of injections are not noticeable, and the patient does not feel the thread frame. The effect of the procedure persists for 2-5 years.
