About the offer

The Post-Stroke Rehabilitation Program at CONSTANCE CARE is designed as an intensive, residential neurorehabilitation stay built around an individual's qualification on the first day, when the medical and therapy team sets goals and creates a personalized plan. The program is delivered by an interdisciplinary team and aims to support a structured return to daily independence by combining physical recovery with communication, cognition, and emotional stabilization. Therapy is organized in multiple daily blocks on weekdays and can combine individualized physiotherapy with specialized upper-limb training using HandTutor technology, gait and balance re-education supported by modern devices (including robotic gait solutions and, when medically appropriate, an exoskeleton), and hands-on techniques such as manual therapy and suspension-based training. The plan may also include supportive modalities from physiotherapy (e. g. , laser/ultrasound/electrotherapy-type treatments), hydrogen therapy, and sensory-relaxation sessions, plus occupational therapy focused on practical function, fine motor skills, breathing work, and cognitive activation; psychological care and motivational coaching are integrated, alongside education aimed at secondary stroke prevention and family support.

FAQ

What does rehabilitation after a stroke look like in practice?

A rehabilitation stay at Constance Care usually lasts 14 or 28 days, depending on the patient’s needs. Each day includes a structured schedule of therapeutic sessions adjusted to the patient’s condition and tolerance. The therapy plan and intensity are set after an initial medical and functional assessment by the clinical team. During the stay, the program may include: 4–6 hours of therapy daily (individual sessions and selected group activities); training for walking, balance, coordination, and hand/fine motor control; speech therapy plus cognitive rehabilitation exercises; occupational therapy elements and emotional/psychological support; respiratory rehabilitation and oxygen therapy when indicated; education focused on secondary stroke prevention and safe daily routines

Stroke centers in Poland — why Constance Care?

Among stroke centers in Poland, Constance Care is recognized for modern rehabilitation technologies, an internationally experienced team, and a patient-first approach. We do not operate as a high-volume “one plan for everyone” facility. Instead, each patient receives an individualized pathway and consistent therapeutic focus. With intensive post-stroke rehabilitation, many patients can improve physical performance, regain better control of movement, communication, and emotions, and build practical readiness for everyday life or return to work.

Are private stroke rehabilitation centers better than public facilities?

Private centers such as Constance Care typically provide faster admission, more personalized planning, and broader access to specialized equipment and therapy time. In many public facilities, patients may wait weeks for a place, especially for intensive neurological programs.

How long does post-stroke rehabilitation last?

The standard post-stroke rehabilitation stay at Constance Care is 14 or 28 days. Depending on progress and neurological status, the program can be extended or repeated in cycles to support continued recovery.

How is a stroke sanatorium different from Constance Care rehabilitation?

A typical stroke sanatorium often offers general treatments and a lower-intensity routine. Constance Care is a private rehabilitation center delivering intensive neurological therapy, supported by modern technology and a multidisciplinary clinical team—designed for measurable functional improvement rather than rest-based recovery.

Which post-stroke symptoms usually require rehabilitation?

Rehabilitation is commonly needed when patients experience arm or leg weakness, speech and language difficulties, or problems with memory, balance, coordination, and spatial orientation. Starting rehabilitation early can help reduce complications, support neuroplasticity, and accelerate functional recovery.

Is post-stroke rehabilitation effective for older adults?

Yes. Rehabilitation is often especially important for older patients because targeted therapy helps preserve mobility, reduces the risk of secondary complications, and supports day-to-day independence. At Constance Care, therapy plans are adapted to the patient’s age, endurance, and safety needs.

How soon should rehabilitation start after a stroke?

In general, the earlier rehabilitation begins, the greater the potential to improve movement and cognitive skills. Ideally, rehabilitation starts within the first days after a stroke (as soon as medically safe) and continues in a specialized setting like Constance Care to maintain momentum and structure.

Does a private stroke rehabilitation stay include accommodation and meals?

Yes. Constance Care offers a full-stay model with accommodation, meals, and 24/7 support. Patients—and, if needed, caregivers—can expect comfortable living conditions, along with clinical supervision and individualized services.

Do you support the patient’s family during stroke rehabilitation?

Yes. Family involvement can significantly improve long-term outcomes. Constance Care supports caregivers with guidance for home routines, training on safe assistance, and psychological consultations. This prepares relatives to continue supporting the patient after discharge—an option not provided by every stroke center.

Is long-term rehabilitation after stroke possible?

Yes. For patients with significant neurological limitations, Constance Care offers long-term post-stroke rehabilitation programs lasting multiple weeks or even months. This format suits patients who need continuous therapy, comprehensive monitoring, and gradual functional progress.

Can a bedridden patient begin post-stroke rehabilitation?

Yes. Even patients with very limited mobility can start rehabilitation. With specialized devices such as standing frames, exoskeletons, robotic rehabilitation tools, and experienced therapists, therapy can be adapted effectively for bedridden patients and those with severe weakness.

Does stroke rehabilitation include memory and attention training?

Yes. Constance Care combines physical recovery with cognitive therapy. Neuropsychologists work with patients on memory, attention, orientation, and reasoning, an important part of neurological rehabilitation that many general facilities do not deliver at this level of intensity.
