Facial fat transfer

Facial fat transfer or lipofilling (liposculpture, lipoplasty) is a procedure of transplanting one's own fat using injections. This method successfully corrects facial defects, lips, chin, and cheek contouring. Own fatty tissues are not rejected by the body and do not cause allergic reactions. As a result, lipofilling does not leave any undesirable traces on the face, but wrinkles are noticeably smooth. Fatty tissue is taken without incisions through micro-punctures in a pre-selected area. Fat intake is performed from the abdomen, thighs, and inner part of the knees. The taken fatty tissues are treated in a centrifuge to separate the fat cells from the blood and purify them. The fat is then implanted with microinjections into pre-marked areas for lipofilling. The duration of the operation depends on the number of correction zones. However, it is usually an hour at maximum. Spot injections smooth out nasolabial folds, depressions, and "dips" on the cheekbones and temples, creating a delicate oval. The swelling and bruising that appeared after lipofilling disappear within 1-2 weeks. The procedure can be combined with other cosmetic operations. In the vast majority of cases, the result remains unchanged for many years.
