Perichondritis treatment with conservative medications

Periochondritis is a disease that can be successfully cured using conservative medications only. Yet, to be sure it’s possible, medical practitioners must ensure that the patient has perichondritis. So, before starting any treatment, the patient must undergo some diagnostic tests to verify the diagnosis. When the diagnosis is confirmed, doctors will also take an ear swab to determine the exact bacteria causing all issues. The swab sample will be placed on the nutrient medium. Physicians will obtain a sample of cultures that cause perichondritis. Next, they will use the sample to figure out what are the most effective medications to cure the exact patient. Currently, most patients might be cured with specific antibiotics. Still, they might be ineffective in some cases, so medical practitioners use microbiological tests described above to determine the most effective antibacterial drugs. Also, most patients require additional symptomatic treatment, for example, painkillers, non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, and other medications to decrease the severity of perichondritis symptoms. At the same time, they wait for antibiotics to hit.
