About the offer

Endoscopic transurethral prostate surgery (TURP) removes the prostate gland and restores urine outflow. All manipulations are carried out through the urethra using a camera and long surgical tools. It is used as a standard golden surgery for the majority of cases. The procedure is performed under general or epidural anesthesia (the doctor makes an injection between the vertebrae, turning off the sensitivity of the lower half of the body). The operation typically lasts 60-90 minutes. First, a resectoscope is inserted into the urethra. It is a thin tube about 30 cm long and 1 cm thick. At its end are a video camera and a miniature lamp. The tube also has an electric loop and a channel for fluid to flush the urethra. After introducing the resectoscope, urine is removed from the bladder, and an antiseptic solution is injected. Then a current is supplied to the electric loop, and the tumor tissue is removed in layers. Finally, the surgeon will insert the catheter into the urethra for 48 hours. This type of surgery helps to operate on the prostate tumor without making any cuts on the abdominal wall. At the same time, urologists can remove the entire tumor with high precision.
