Patient's Original FeedbackRecovery did not look easy for Ms. S. Viviana, a 44-year-old patient from the Netherlands. After decompression surgery for Chiari malformation, she was left with weakness in her left arm and left leg. Simple movement had become difficult, and she needed focused neurological rehabilitation to help her get back on her feet.

Her rehabilitation was arranged by Airomedical at the Catalunya General University Hospital in Spain. The program started with 14 days of intensive inpatient neurorehabilitation, followed by 3 more weeks of outpatient therapy.

Step by step, she began to improve. With daily support from doctors and therapists, her mobility increased, and her recovery went better than the family had expected.

After the last therapy session, her relative shared this message:

“She had her last therapy on Friday and left by train for the Netherlands this morning. We are very grateful to Airomedical and the doctors for the care and good treatment. She had not dared to hope or dream of being able to leave the clinic on foot. The doctors and therapists have indicated that they are more than satisfied and have therefore completed the therapy.

On behalf of the patient and our entire family, our sincere thanks again!”

For the family, the biggest moment was simple but powerful: she was able to leave the clinic on foot. What once felt impossible had become real.

Her story shows how much the right rehabilitation program, expert care, and steady support can change a patient’s recovery journey.
