Dr. med. Kourosh Peterhansl

Dr. Kourosh Peterhansl is a highly experienced orthopedic specialist with 19 years of experience in the field. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in natural science at the renowned Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in applied molecular biology at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Dr. Peterhansl then pursued his studies in human medicine at the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, obtaining his medical license and defending his dissertation. He has worked as a senior resident at the Meoclinic Hospital in Berlin and underwent advanced training in arthroscopy. Dr. Peterhansl obtained his specialization in orthopedics in 2012 and also earned a habilitation and teaching license in the same year. Some remarkable milestones in his career include serving as the Sana Health Center Prenzlauer Berg director from 2012 to 2018 and being a junior consultant and senior physician at the Department of surgical orthopedics at the Sana Clinic Sommerfeld in 2018. Currently, Dr. Peterhansl is the founder of the Medical Balance Group in Potsdam and practices in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Meoclinic Berlin, as well as the Department of Knee and Hip Orthopedic Surgery at the Sanssouci Clinic Potsdam. He is a member of the Brandenburg Orthopedic Society. With his extensive education and experience, Dr. Peterhansl is well-equipped to provide excellent care in orthopedics.
