The otolaryngology, head and neck surgery department with tinnitus unit at Teknon Medical Center Barcelona offers the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of various disorders and diseases of the ear, upper respiratory tract and parts of the lower respiratory tract, including the nose, paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx and throat. The medical team consists of 24 otolaryngologists, two audiologists and eight assistants. High-qualified specialists have been employed thanks to extensive training and experience, which has made the department a world-renowned centre. More than 100,000 patients from 50 countries have been treated in the department. The department has eight rooms equipped with the latest technology for the best anatomical examination and correct patient diagnosis and three acoustically isolated audiological rooms. Also, in the department, there is room for studying the voice (stroboscopy). The comfortable conditions, extensive experience and professionalism of department specialists guarantee individual and high-quality treatment.

The department is the leading Spanish centre with the most experience and capacity in treating all types of tonsil diseases. Particular attention is also paid to the reduction of auditory perception in children since the intellectual and social development of the child largely depends on the proper functioning of the ear. That is why the department has a unit for pediatric hearing loss aimed at its early diagnosis and treatment. Otolaryngologists also specialize in treating otitis media, snoring and sleep apnea, benign and malignant tumours of the head and neck, vertigo and tinnitus.
