About the offer

Robotic thyroid surgery is a unique tumor removal with minimal intervention. The robot Da Vinci reduces the risks of side effects as much as possible, does not leave scars on the neck, and allows it to avoid changes in voice and problems with breathing and swallowing. Incisions are made not on the neck but under the arm, next to the auricle, or inside the oral cavity, where they are easy to hide. The operation is performed based on the patient's diagnosis and localization of the tumor. The whole process lasts about three hours. All manipulations are performed by the four robotic "hands," which the thyroid surgeon remotely controls. After the patient falls asleep, an incision is made in the selected area, through which instruments are inserted. A 3D view with a 10-fold increase allows the doctor to avoid accidental damage to large vessels and the recurrent nerve responsible for the movement of the vocal cords. First, the thyroid gland is removed, cosmetic stitches are applied, and drainage is installed. Finally, a sterile bandage is applied to the wound. The patient generally spends a maximum of a few days in the clinic.
