Eyebrow transplant

An eyebrow transplant can make them attractive, even in seemingly hopeless cases, once and for all. The procedure allows both to restore missing eyebrows and give them the desired thickness, width, and shape. The preparatory stage includes modeling and determining the follicular number and donor zone. Most often, it is the occipital or the temporal head parts or the area closer to the ears. All manipulations are carried out under local anesthesia and take about three hours. First, the contours of the eyebrows and the donor area are outlined with a surgical marker. Then, the required number of follicles is taken with micro-tools. The amount depends on the volume of transplantation. Up to 350 grafts are needed to restore fully. For partial correction, the number is much less — usually 50-100. The doctor examines the taken follicles and selects the healthiest ones. Then he makes tiny punctures in the eyebrow area and places follicles in them, preserving the natural direction of growth and the inclination angle. In addition, the procedure can be supplemented with injections of platelet-rich plasma. It facilitates the engraftment of hairs and accelerates their growth. Transplanted hair completely falls after 2-3 weeks, and the follicles begin active growth. Finally, after a few months, the happy patient receives thick natural eyebrows of the shape he dreamed of.
