About the offer

Conization is a procedure for removing the cone-shaped area of the cervix and the cervical canal. The surgery is effective in the early stages of cervical cancer when the tumor is not growing into neighboring tissues. In this case, only malignant cells within healthy tissues are removed by cone-shaped excision. The treatment is usually performed on the 5-7 days of the menstrual cycle immediately after the end of menstruation. The operation is minimally invasive, using a colposcope with a mini camera inserted through the vagina. The image transmitted to the monitor allows the gynecologist to control the process confidently. As a rule, conization is performed under local anesthesia. During the operation, the surgeon removes a cone-shaped area from the cervix, the upper part facing the uterus, and the base with a 2-3 cm diameter to the vagina. The duration of the procedure is 20-30 minutes. There is no need for hospitalization. In case of mild pain in the operation place, the patient may take painkillers prescribed by a doctor for several days after the operation.
