About the offer

Unilateral ovary and fallopian tube removal surgery (salpingo-oophorectomy) performing on 40,6% of cases of ovarian cancer. It's considered one of the most traditional ways of ovarian cancer treatment. However, salpingo-oophorectomy is an open surgery that requires serious preparation. The salpingo-oophorectomy performs under general anesthesia. To get access to a damaged organ, surgeons make an extended cut on the patient's skin below the navel. After a doctor localizes the affected ovary, they remove it with the fallopian tube that connects the ovary to the uterus. After examining surrounding tissues and organs and ensuring everything looks good, the gynecologist put stitches on the wounds and skin. In the end, an aseptic bandage is placed over the cup on the belly's skin. In general, the duration usually lasts 1-3 hours. However, a patient needs to remain under the observation of medical practitioners for at least a few days after the surgery to avoid some severe complications. Surgeons remove the ovary and fallopian tube on only one side if saving these organs on the other side of the body is possible. In addition, unilateral ovary and fallopian tube removal surgery can help maintain sufficient hormones and preserve the possibility of becoming pregnant naturally.
