Stem cell therapy is performed during a single surgical procedure using autologous (from the patient) stem cells freshly obtained from 150-200 ml of belly fat (adipose) tissue, performed by liposuction under local anesthesia. Adipose tissue-derived stem cells have unique clinical capabilities, including but not limited to suppression of chronic inflammation, suppression of degenerative changes in various tissues, migration to sites of tissue injury, optimization of immune system function, tissue regeneration, including the formation of new blood supply, and antioxidant effects.
