Wrinkles around the eyes occur when the skin loses elasticity. Loss of elasticity is usually an indicator of aging. However, there are also causes of loss of elasticity other than aging. Excessive use of facial expressions is one of the most common causes of wrinkles. The eyes are one of the areas that most intensely show signs of aging. Under-eye bags, wrinkles, sunken eyes, dark circles, and many other factors make the person look more tired and older than they are. Eye contour rejuvenation applications are performed to give a younger and more dynamic appearance. Botox offers an excellent solution to prevent wrinkles around the eyes or correct wrinkles that have already formed. Another option is blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty can be defined as eyelid aesthetics. It is a surgical procedure to remove sagging, bagging, and wrinkles around the eyes. Aging, genetic, and environmental factors can affect the eye area, causing eyelid sagging, bagging, and wrinkles over time. The eyelid aesthetic healing process is not long. The operation is performed under local anesthesia. However, some patients may experience discomfort after surgery, so general anesthesia may also be preferred. The operation takes approximately one hour. The amount of skin and muscle to be removed during the operation is determined in the patient's sitting position. In some patients, it may be necessary to remove some fat tissue. This area, previously defined by drawing, is removed by an incision during surgery. Then, the eyelids are given the appearance they should have with suture application. The patient will not feel any pain or ache since there is an anesthetic effect during the operation.  A band is applied to the eyelids immediately after the operation. However, these bands are such that they do not prevent you from seeing them. Cold compresses may be required to reduce edema and bruising. It is usual for swelling and bruising to increase for 2 days after surgery. At the end of this period, bruises and swelling will decrease and disappear rapidly. Finally, movements requiring effort, such as coughing, sneezing, or heavy lifting, should be avoided after the surgery.
