knee orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery

About the department

The department of knee orthopaedics surgery at ATOS Orthopedic Clinic Munich is a highly specialized medical facility for treating knee diseases. For the consistently high quality of treatment and the many successful therapies that have already been carried out, the knee specialists at the department are highly regarded not only in Germany but internationally. Patients from all over the world regularly place their trust in the experts of the department and benefit from their expertise in knee surgery. In order to be able to continue to guarantee this high level of treatment and not to fall behind the times, the local knee specialists undergo further regular training: attend training courses and congresses, take part in specialist conferences, and are partly scientifically active. Four professors are a part of the physician staff, in particular.

Several knee specialists work at the department and use all their expertise and experience to take care of damage to the knee (meniscus, cruciate ligaments, or cartilage) and many other complaints and injuries to the knee. Conservative treatment is given priority, and surgery is performed in cases of ineffective non-surgical measures. In addition, modern knee-preserving methods are in use, such as arthroscopy.
