About the department

The department of internal medicine and pulmonology at Academic Hospital Martha-Maria Munich provides the full spectrum of medical care for internal organs. The head of the department is a talented doctor with over 25 years of experience and deep knowledge of the diseases of the lungs. The staff is equally professional and attentive. Modern equipment and interventions are available for the patients, such as nocturnal ventilation, endoscopy, thoracoscopy, lung functional testing, and multimodal cancer treatments. A quality officer and external organizations monitor the quality of medicine and medical devices. In addition, the department cooperates with the MVZ Martha-Maria Lung Center, an outpatient part of the organization in the heart of Munich.

The department's priorities are in the treatment and diagnosis of pulmonary (lung) diseases and diseases of other internal organs (gastrointestinal tract - gallbladder, liver, pancreas, stomach, intestines, oesophagus; heart and cardiovascular system). In particular, many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed for the lungs.
