The year 2026 marks a historic turning point for the clinic: following five years of construction, the hospital has fully transitioned into a brand-new, five-story central building. This 31,000-square-meter facility is currently the largest new hospital construction in all of Bavaria, designed to house all medical disciplines under one roof and replace the older pavilion-style structure. The hospital’s medical power is anchored in its status as a Level-1 Trauma Center and its nationally recognized Perinatal Center (Level 1). The clinical team, comprising roughly 300 doctors and over 600 nursing specialists, manages a massive workload, welcoming nearly 2,000 newborns annually and providing specialized care for premature infants weighing less than 1,000 grams. Harlaching is also a leading hub for neurology and stroke medicine; its certified Stroke Unit is among the most active in Germany, using real-time digital imaging and minimally invasive catheter technology to treat acute brain infarctions.
