oral and maxillofacial surgery

About the department

The department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at MEOCLINIC Berlin has many years of experience in the surgical treatment of the upper respiratory tract, the facial skull and tumour and reconstructive surgery, including microsurgery in the entire head and neck area. Modern technologies are implemented, such as 3D planning and computer-assisted implantations. Particular specialization of the department is cause-related therapy of obstructive sleep apnea. Nocturnal sleep-related breathing disorders are diagnosed and eliminated using the cause-related therapy of "bimaxillary advancement with counterclockwise rotation". The long-term results of this causal therapy impressively show what an operative procedure for the sustainable expansion of the upper airways can do for the patient's quality of life. A team of two experts is working in the department, providing excellent care for the patients. Modern technologies are implemented, such as 3D planning and computer-assisted implantations.

Medical services include surgery on the jaws and face, both functional (to restore function) and aesthetic. The specializations, along with sleep apnea, include implantology and jaw misalignments treatment.
