Department of pediatric and adolescent psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy

The department of pediatric and adolescent psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy at Helios Hospital Berlin-Buch help children and young people with mental, psychosomatic, and psychosocial problems. The wards are age-appropriate and offer friendly furnished one to three bedrooms. Parents can visit their children in the afternoon and on weekends. A team of doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses and educators, teachers, and special therapists (ergo therapists, art therapists, music therapists, and speech therapists) treat the patients. In addition, various professional groups with their different therapeutic approaches work closely together to ensure the best possible therapy. Structural parts of the department include a therapy station for adolescents, a therapy station for children in transition to adolescence, a crisis intervention station, a therapy station for children and parent-child station, a general day clinic, and a day clinic specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In addition to outpatient treatment, the department offers inpatient admission in a protected setting, intensive individual and/or group therapy, competent care around the clock, and, in individual cases, drug therapy.
