The department of pediatric and adolescent medicine, congenital malformations, and pediatric oncology at Helios Hospital Berlin-Buch have many years of intensive experience in dealing with diseases in children. Paediatricians, pediatric nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers work closely with all relevant disciplines in the hospital. The department follows the latest pediatric oncological guidelines and participates in clinical studies. The department is comprised of: Ward for children with blood and cancer diseases; Ward for children with blood and cancer diseases (day clinic); Ward for children with rheumatic diseases; Station for lung diseases and psychosomatic/nervous diseases; Ward for premature infant medicine and pediatric intensive care medicine; and elective service station for the comfort for children and parents. In addition, several supportive facilities are available to parents and siblings, such as the parents' oasis, the Ronald McDonald House, the kindergarten, and the socio-pediatric centre of the hospital. Furthermore, outpatient and inpatient medical services are available.
