Department of gastroenterology

Dr. med. Peter Lusebrink
internal medicine, gastroenterology

About the department

The department of gastroenterology at Beta Clinic Bonn offers world-class treatment of diseases of the entire gastrointestinal tract, the liver, the pancreas, the gallbladder, and the bile ducts. The department works under the latest guidelines to ensure modern, evidence-based treatment and diagnosis. As a long-standing chief physician of a department for internal medicine and gastroenterology, the head of the department is also very familiar with the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the other internal organs. The doctor carries out endoscopic examinations with the latest high-resolution video endoscopes, and different staining methods make it easier to interpret the findings. One of the features of the department is the modern capsule endoscopic technique. In addition, hygiene meets the highest standards. Treatment is usually on an outpatient basis, and in case of necessity, an inpatient stay is possible.

Chronic and acute inflammations, bleeding, and functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract are targeted in the department. Benign and malignant tumours are also treated with the involvement of a highly qualified interdisciplinary tumour board. Treatment options include conservative drug prescription and video-endoscopic interventions.
