Academic Hospital Schwabing Munich is the oldest and most traditional Munich medical facility. The clinic was opened in 1909 as a tertiary care facility. The medical center includes 17 clinics, one institute, five intensive care units, 11 operating rooms, and two operating rooms for victims of radiation accidents. It is also the academic clinical hospital of the LMU of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
