About the department

The urology centre at Urological Clinic Munich-Planegg covers the full spectrum of non-cancerous disorders of the urinary tract. Over 30 doctors work at the department under the leadership of a skilled and experienced professor, and almost half of them are senior specialists. The department is equipped with cutting-edge medical care, such as a surgical robot of the latest generation, produced by Intuitive Surgery (da Vinci® XI HD), minimally invasive procedures using an endoscope, and methods based on the newest laser technology. In addition, there is an opportunity for patients to receive novel treatment methods through clinical studies programs, in some cases. During outpatient or inpatient treatment, the qualified nursing staff ensures that the patients feel cared for and relaxed. The comfortable furnishings and the appealing atmosphere also contribute to this.

Infectious, congenital, and functional disorders of the male and female urinary systems are treated at the Urology centre. The emphasis of clinical work in the department is on the surgical treatment of benign prostate conditions, endoscopic treatment of urinary stones, treatment of urinary incontinence in women, and pediatric urology. In addition, there are numerous day surgeries available for outpatient visits for maximum comfort of patients.
