About the department

The uro-gynaecology (pelvic floor) centre at Urological Clinic Munich-Planegg focuses on the diseases of the female urological tract. Births, connective tissue weakness, surgeries, and chronic overloading can damage the pelvic floor, with functional disorders of the bladder and bowel. The department has a wealth of experience in the chosen subject, thanks to a team of highly qualified professionals. In addition, the nursing staff ensures further effectiveness and comfortable conditions of treatment. Treatment options are evidence-based, following the latest guidelines. The recommendations of the German Association of Urogynecology are also strictly followed. Both in-patient and outpatient medical services are available.

The diseases such as incontinence, constipation, and lower pelvic organs are the priority of work at the centre. Unique diagnostic methods, such as urodynamics and video urodynamics, are set in the department. Numerous treatment options are offered, including open, minimally-invasive surgery, conservative, physiotherapeutic and interventional methods.
