About the department

The radiology department at the University Hospital Charite Berlin offers a full spectrum of radiological examinations. The unit's medical team comprises 150 doctors, including senior physicians, nurses, medical-technical radiology assistants, etc. Furthermore, the clinic has a close network with the department of neuroradiology, pediatric radiology and the clinic for nuclear medicine. The radiology centre is equipped with all modern devices for precise diagnostics and interventions. It is worth saying that the department is recognised as a Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery and the qualified unit team performs over 2000 minimally invasive surgeries per year. In addition, with the help of interdisciplinary collaboration, the Collaborative Research Center was created on the department's basis. 

The medical focus of the department lies in the precise imaging and performing of detailed diagnoses of various diseases and conditions. Moreover, the specialists provide minimally invasive radiological interventions and radiotherapy. Special attention is paid to vascular interventions and tumour therapy.
