About the department

The department of pediatric oncology and haematology at the University Hospital Charite Berlin specialises in the diseases of blood and tumour diseases in children and adolescents. The unit is equipped with modern state-of-art facilities, and the team consists of experienced world-recognised doctors. In addition, the clinic has been certified as a specialised Cancer Centre since 2017. It is worth mentioning that the head physician of the department is a member of the national and international societies and associations for paediatrics, haematology and oncology. The unit follows all German Society for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology medical requirements. Furthermore, the clinic conducts scientific research in its field of speciality for implementing new therapy methods. The department is also an academic teaching centre of The University Hospital Charite Berlin.

The department is focused on diagnosing oncological diseases of blood in children from 0 to 18 years. In addition, the specialists provide high-quality treatment of benign and malignant tumours and congenital and acquired blood diseases.
