The modernly equipped endoscopy and sonography enable all established diagnostic and therapeutic examinations. Treatment in the department is carried out in both outpatient and inpatient. In addition, the department has an oncology day hospital that can treat 18 patients. The station opened its doors in 1999 and since then has been providing high-quality medical care to patients with benign and malignant tumours.

Every day, experienced doctors of the department deal with acute and chronic cardiovascular system diseases, gastrointestinal tract, lungs, and respiratory tract. The department also has a sleep laboratory that diagnoses and treats all sleep disorders. In addition, the medical team pays special attention to palliative medicine. Patients are supported to live as actively and independently as possible, even when severely ill. At the same time, relatives of patients are also accompanied and supported.
