Oncology Center Lublin

Oncology Center Lublin is the largest oncology hospital in eastern Poland and has been accredited following high-quality standards since 2016. The hospital has 13 departments and 303 beds. Chemotherapy, immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies and low molecular weight tyrosine kinase inhibitors, radiation (IMRT, IGRT, EPID, HDR brachytherapy), and hormonal therapy are available as the primary treatment.  In addition to conservative treatment, the clinic provides services in plastic and reconstructive surgery, microsurgery for hand and body burns and congenital disabilities, minimally invasive, endoscopic and laser interventions for oncological diseases of the ENT organs, and laparoscopy, extraperitoneal hernioplasty for the treatment of hernias (e-TEP technique enhanced view). Also, a comprehensive list of services includes transplantation of bone marrow and peripheral blood hematopoietic cells in a qualified center. The high level of urological surgical treatment allows doctors to annually perform 110 radical prostatectomies, 50 cystectomies, and 120 nephrectomies by open and laparoscopic methods.  As a result, the urological departments of Oncology Clinic Lublin are the first in Poland regarding the number and complexity of urological oncology cures. Doctors also perform diagnostic procedures in the form of biopsies (including bone marrow), trepanobiopsy, puncture of the body cavity, risk stratification of genetic determinants of diagnosed diseases in endocrinology and radioisotope studies (scintigraphy of adrenergic tumors using MIBG and local three-phase scintigraphy of bones and the whole body with the possibility SPECT/CT studies). In addition to classical remedies, patients have the opportunity to receive state-of-the-art treatment thanks to international multicenter clinical trials in ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancer. Also, the gynecology department takes on the challenge and has all the necessary capabilities of modern therapy for clinically advanced forms of ovarian cancer, including patients with generalized hyperplasia in the abdominal cavity (intraperitoneal perfusion chemotherapy). The main area of ​​focus at Lublin Oncology Hospital is the treatment of oncological patients, starting from day-patient chemotherapy and ending with complex or controversial cases. The main characteristic of the clinic is the possibility of receiving help not only in detecting a malignant tumor but also in the case of non-cancerous diseases of various types.
