About the hospital
Asklepios Hospital Parchim has been a famous primary care hospital since 1905. In 1998, thanks to investments, the main building was reconstructed, and a new department was built. In 2015, the clinic celebrated its 110th anniversary and leadership in medicine with high standards and highly qualified doctors. During this time, the Hospital in Parchim became a home of medical competence and cared for people.

About the city
Parchim is a small and cozy German town located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with a population of 19,000. The city is situated south of the central terminal moraine of Pomorie between two lakes, Sternberg and Mecklenburg. The Elde and Walker rivers also flow through the town, which splits into several branches and forms huge islands with recreational areas. Woods and meadows surround the lake to the north and east.
The urban development consists of tiny brick houses surrounded by gardens with neatly trimmed trees. The romantic streets are paved with cobblestones and are broad. In the central part of the city is the gothic parish church of St. George in 1289, which has remnants of medieval painting inside, a neo-gothic altarpiece by Gotthilf Ludwig Meckel (end of the 19th century), and the parish church of St. Mary 14 Art. There are many original places in Parchim and the surrounding area, such as a theatre and a museum. Still in addition to this, there is a music festival in the city's center once a year called "Music mile", where international bands and individual musicians perform.
A cloth factory was built as early as 1819, followed by a paper factory, a Bauer machine factory in 1858, and a furnace factory in 1874. In addition, the airport and the railway determined the city's development. Asklepios Hospital Parchim, serving the population for more than 117 years, is also a city symbol and determines its development. Despite its age, the hospital is considered a high-tech center specializing in emergency medical care but also gathers neighboring regions to treat chronic diseases and surgical interventions.
Among the greenery and rivers, fresh air, and low-rise houses, you can truly enjoy being in the silence outside the big city, spend active time on the beaches, observe the original wildlife, and dance at the music festival - all in one place, Parchim.
