orthopaedic surgery

About the department

The department of orthopaedic and endoprosthesis at Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Clinic Malvazinky Prague performs a full range of orthopaedic surgeries using the latest equipment. The department has 20 beds in comfortable single or double rooms and an intensive care unit. Patient care is comprehensive, including preoperative examination by a therapist and anaesthetist, preoperative preparation, surgery and subsequent treatment, including the possibility of professional rehabilitation treatment (inpatient or outpatient). The goal is to minimize the patient's stay in the hospital through surgery using minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures that significantly reduce postoperative pain. The entire team of the orthopaedic department also has extensive experience in treating sports injuries.

The department's primary focus is the total replacement of the hip and knee joints. During procedures, surgeons use modern implants from well-known manufacturers, especially suitable for young people. In addition, doctors specialize in reconstructive surgery, including meniscus sutures, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and shoulder impingement surgery. Finally, the specialists do everything possible to return the patients to their usual physical form.
