About the department

The urology department at KCM Clinic Wroclaw specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the urinary systems and the male reproductive system. The department presents the most modern diagnostic methods, including endoscopic and minimally invasive interventions. For example, to assess the pathology of the prostate, doctors use a prostate biopsy, in which a special needle is inserted through the rectum under ultrasound control. Thus, the presence of cancer cells is confirmed or excluded, and their type and degree of malignancy are determined. When prescribing treatment, doctors are guided by national and international medical protocols. Preference is given to laparoscopic methods, allowing for a shorter recovery period and a lower risk of postoperative complications than traditional operations.

The main focus of surgeons is directed to the surgical treatment of kidney stones, prostate hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, and inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the kidneys. The department has modern equipment for laser treatment techniques. Particular attention is also paid to penile prosthetics and vasectomy reversal. If the patient wishes, surgeons can undo the vasectomy 20 years after the procedure.
