Dr. med. Rebecca Tschope
gastroenterology, hepatology, infectiology

About the department

The department of gastroenterology at Academic Hospital Schlosspark Charlottenburg Berlin performs high-level medical care in gastroenterology, including hepatology, endoscopic interventions and gastroenterological emergencies, all around the clock. The latest diagnostic procedures are available in the department. Furthermore, experienced specialists in the gastroenterology department provide consultation hours in the outpatient clinic. Qualified doctors follow evidence-based guidelines in managing acute and chronic internal diseases. In addition, the department's training programs are assured by the German Diabetes Society (DDG). Gastroenterologists regularly cooperate with surgeons, oncologists and radiologists to create an interdisciplinary team and provide sufficient treatment.

The main focus of the department lies in the extensive detailed diagnosis of the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. The other focal point of the department is the interdisciplinary treatment of tumours of the gastrointestinal tract. Furthermore, the treatment and diagnosis of diabetes mellitus are performed at the highest level.
