Department of diagnostic, interventional radiology and neuroradiology

Dr. med. Annette Forschler
radiology, interventional radiology and neuroradiology

About the department

The department of diagnostic, interventional radiology and neuroradiology at Academic Hospital Schlosspark Charlottenburg Berlin provides a detailed diagnosis of internal, nervous, vascular and bone diseases at the request of specialists from other departments. In neuroradiology, the department closely cooperates with departments of neurology and neurosurgery. Furthermore, the department has at its disposal highly precise equipment for interventional radiology and qualified and experienced professionals, which allows treating various vascular and tumorous diseases. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the head physician of the radiology department collaborates on neurooncology projects. So the department has a valuable practical experience in this field.

The department's primary focus is minimally invasive and maximally extensive diagnostic and intervention tools. Specialists perform nerve and plexus blocks, drainages, embolisation of tumours and bleeding vessels, treatment of vascular malformations, etc. Modern combined methods of tumours embolisation and chemotherapy are also available in the department.
