About the department

The department of sleep medicine and diagnostics at Beta Clinic Bonn provides expertise in sleep disorders. World-class specialists of the department work using an interdisciplinary approach and the most modern equipment, in close cooperation with the specialists from neurology and otolaryngology, among others. The department is a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Society for Sleep Medicine and the European Sleep Research Society. The sleep laboratory diagnostics follow the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards. In addition to an inpatient stay, the mobile sleep laboratory enables patients to be screened at the neighbouring hotel or home. Furthermore, the weekend program enables working people and people who do not have the time to spend a night or two in the sleep laboratory from Monday to Thursday to have a sleep medical examination at the weekends.

All kinds of sleep disorders are treated in the department. Thanks to the newest polysomnography devices, it is possible to diagnose the diseases after one or two nights at the sleep lab. Drug prescription, psychotherapy, physiotherapy, medical devices, and even surgery are the possible treatment options.
