Department of hand orthopaedic surgery

Dr. med. Michael Lehnert
orthopedics and trauma surgery, hand surgeon and sports medicine

About the department

The department of hand orthopaedic surgery at ATOS Orthopedic Clinic Munich offers qualified and highly specialized medical care for hands and wrist. The heading surgeon has over 20 years of experience in the corresponding field and even developed the needlestick treatment for Dupuytren's disease. Numerous innovations are implemented, and the staff is constantly undergoing additional training and education programs. Medical care is provided by the German Society for Hand Surgery. The department is extensively awarded, for example, by being included in the list of the 2022 top surgical clinics for hand surgery. Thanks to the signature atmosphere and friendly, professional nursing, the clinic is designed to resemble a first-class hotel than a hospital. Short distances and close coordination between the individual departments guarantee smooth processes.

The range of treatments includes conservative, particularly all minimally invasive treatment techniques in hand surgery. In addition, acute, chronic diseases of the hand and wrist are treated along with injuries and traumas.
